Hi, I'm Jess...

I'm a Parent Support Worker and Children's Mental Health Educator with a background in Counselling. I support parents to understand their child's emotions and behaviours within a warm, nonjudgemental space jam-packed with compassion.

With over 10 years experience in mental health, counselling and case management - and as a mum to two brilliant young children - I understand both the beautiful highs of parenting and the heartbreaking lows. I also know that this rollercoaster steadies when we have the right support in place.

My approach is evidence-based and grounded in attachment, neuroscience and an understanding of the nervous and sensory systems. I often work with parents feeling confused or overwhelmed by their child's BIG emotions or challenging behaviours. Parenting can be intense and you shouldn't have to figure it all out alone - that's why I'm here: to hold space for you to feel deeply heard and supported.

Together we'll explore practical, nurturing strategies that align with your family's unique needs and values. If you're seeking parenting support, I welcome you to show up exactly as you are.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling)

A variety of other courses covering the following subjects that inform my work: the sensory systems, childhood anxiety, emotion coaching, mindfulness for children, GROW somatic training, anger and aggression, attachment play, emotion regulation, brain development, the nervous system and childhood trauma.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
